Introduction

The number of self-employed professionals and the number of consultants continues to grow in the developed countries and indeed it is predicted that most of us will be consultants and/or self employed at some time or other in our careers.

Co-operation with other consultants and engineers in other disciplines is of ever-increasing importance and hence having the “right network” is now a crucial ingredient in continuing to find employment as an independent.  This convention aims to offer advice on ways in which self-employed individuals can find more work.  Working on your own is risky and not everybody can manage an income that is insecure and “lumpy”.  The Convention will be a participative, co-operative and interactive event designed to trigger participants to develop their consulting, personal and business management skills.

Key Benefits of Attending
• Gain the knowledge and inspiration to transform your ideas into commercially successful offerings
• Hear straight from the expert's mouth from those who have overcome hurdles to achieve commercial success
• Network and share experiences with speakers, other delegates and exhibitors
• Discuss specific issues face-to-face with key speakers
• Share and generate ideas in a panel debate/interactive session

Who should attend?
Consultants, self-employed and those involved in running a small partnership.  The Convention will also be of interest to those who are considering becoming a self-employed consultant.
