In MM8 under Map Parts there is mention of (links to?) Map4Web.  Does this mean that we have Map4Web shipped as part of MM8 now?  Can we therefore achieve directly from MM8 what we would have done with MM6 and separate Map4Web?  I still have that combination available, but never made much use of Map4Web yet.  That must change...

I cannot see the Map4Web link.  Do you mean the Map Parts task pane?

I have gone back to editing the MindManager web exports to achieve what I want.  I would like the Map4Web functionality in MindManager 8 but I have heard nothing from either party that indicates this will happen.

Yes it is in the Map Parts Task Pane. I am on v.8.0.217

Are you using MM8 for web export now?  Is that what you mean?  Otherwise what do you mean by "gone back to editing the MindManager web exports"? - in what is the editing done?

Not in my version.  Send me a copy of the Map Part file please.   It will be in a similar directory to this:
C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Local\Mindjet\MindManager\8\Library\ENU\Map Parts

I don't think Map4Web is in MM8.

l am copying and editing the MindManager Web Templates files both HTML and MMBAS.  l use Notepad or MS Expressions.

You cannot include HTML snippets with MindManager and a variety other things you can do with Map4Web.
